Nokia 5800: The Tube

Now that Nokia has officially joined the bandwagon, it seems that Nokia has the ability to topple down the big Apple with its new phone. Announced on October 2, 2008, Nokia finally brings out the big guns with Nokia 5800 also known as "Tube".

Let's cut short with the fancy details and head straight to the core. The 5800 or the Tube displays a 640x360 resolution under its 3.2 inch touchscreen together with its 3.2 Megapixel autofocus camera, Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash. But wait til you see the physical display - 16 million colors of pure delight. Beat that!

WiFi certainly is not a problem as it offers the Tube the chance to surf the web using its web browser and can store information in its microSD slot with 16GB cards.

With 8.8 hours of talk time, the Tube or 5800 utilizes a 1320 mAh Li-Ion battery that enables users to talk at a longer time without draining the battery for future use. 400 hours of standby time, up to 35 hours of music time, 210 minutes of video recording time for recording those videos to be posted later on at Youtube and up to 5 hours of video playback time.

The device comes equipped with 128 Mb of RAM, after first launch you will get around 70-74 Mb of free memory at your disposal, plus there are 81 Mb on top of that reserved in the phone for your personal data.
