Sony Ericsson Xperia X1: Xperience the Future

Having 3 inches of its touch screen with 65,536 colors and a full QWERTY keyboard right underneath the screen once you slide the screen upwards. Xperia X1 runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 which enables fast data transfer rates. There are 4 ways to interact with the phone, either by touch, by full QWERTY keyboard, by using the 4-way key, or by optical joystick navigation.

Talk time would be around 8.50 hours and standby time at around 340 hours. The ultimate downside is its built-in memory which only stores around 400MB. Weighing 145 grams with 110x53x17mm dimensions, the phone weighs like a feather considering it has a lot of features to offer.

Almost all smart phones are Wi-Fi ready and the Xperia X1 won't be left behind. Using either the Internet Explorer 2.0 or Opera 9.50 as its web browser is easy, the latter being recommended as it lets user browser faster and smoother. Email would not pose a problem as Xperia X1 has Outlook Mobile.

A 3.2 Mega pixel camera with flash, 3x zoom and auto focus also lets the user record videos at 30 frames per second in VGA (640x480) quality. Video calling is also available to be used and abused.

Music won't be a problem as Sony is known to be an expert on that department. Windows Media Player lets users access to music and a built-in FM tuner allows listening to the radio.

Finally, Sony has its weapon in the on-going war with the touch screen smart phones. It's now up to the consumers to decide what to pick.
